About Industry Sightseeing Bus

This model deviates from traditional cargo vehicle design paradigms, featuring aerodynamic contours and an enhanced driver’s field of view. Its unique front fascia, distinguished by specialized lighting, establishes it as a pioneer in eco-conscious logistics. The flexible cargo compartment is engineered to accommodate diverse payloads, integrating aesthetic design with functional utility.

Featuring a durable high-strength steel chassis—treated via electrophoresis and powder coating for superior corrosion resistance—and an impact-resistant composite body, the vehicle ensures sustained operational performance. The front MacPherson strut and rear solid axle suspension systems operate in concert to deliver consistent and reliable cargo transport across a spectrum of road conditions.

Client: Sunstone Winery Estate
Location: Napa Valley, California, USA
Vehicle Model: LAKER BSF1024 Electric Flatbed Truck

What the Client Needed

Sunstone Winery, a large vineyard and event venue, required a robust utility vehicle to support daily operations. The core requirements were clear: a zero-emission vehicle that could safely and reliably transport heavy loads of wine barrels, maintenance equipment, and event supplies across the sprawling estate, which features steep hills, uneven gravel roads, and narrow pathways.

Previous Solutions & Their Limitations

The winery previously relied on two types of vehicles, both of which proved unsuitable for their needs:

Gas-powered pickup trucks: These were noisy, emitted exhaust fumes that disturbed guests and the vineyard environment, and struggled with the narrow paths. Fuel and maintenance costs were also significant.
Generic low-speed electric carts: These lacked the power and braking performance to handle the estate's hilly terrain. The weak chassis corroded quickly from moisture and fertilizer exposure, and the small beds were too limited for large cargo.

The Evaluation & Final Decision

After testing several options, the winery chose the LAKER BSF1024 series. The decision was driven by several key factors that directly addressed their operational challenges:

1. Corrosion-Resistant Chassis: The high-strength steel chassis, treated with electrophoresis and powder coating, was built to withstand the humid vineyard climate and chemical exposure.
2. Powerful Performance: The 7.5kW motor and MacPherson strut front suspension provided the necessary torque and stability to navigate steep, rough roads fully loaded.
3. Superior Safety Braking: The front disc/rear drum hydraulic brakes with vacuum assist offered confident, controlled stopping power on downhill slopes, a critical safety feature.
4. Spacious & Versatile Bed: The large flatbed with optional railings easily accommodated wine barrels and bulky equipment, solving their cargo capacity issues.

The Results After Implementation

1. Improved Efficiency: The vehicle's reliability and power have streamlined daily logistics, allowing staff to complete tasks faster and more safely.
2. Enhanced Guest Experience: Quiet, zero-emission operation eliminated noise and pollution, preserving the serene atmosphere of the winery.
3. Lower Operating Costs: Reduced maintenance needs and the elimination of fuel expenses have significantly cut the estate's long-term operational costs.
4. Long-Term Durability: The robust build quality means the fleet is expected to serve reliably for many years, reducing replacement cycles.

Owner Review

“The LAKER flatbed trucks have become an indispensable part of our operations. They handle our hilly vineyard roads with ease, the braking gives our drivers great confidence, and the build quality has held up perfectly in our climate. They are quiet, clean, and exactly what we needed. A fantastic investment for any estate or vineyard.”
